Terms of Service

What you're paying for. What we don't promise.

Last updated: this page is under counsel review. The substance below reflects how BizScore operates today; the formal Terms of Service will replace this text once our attorney has signed off.

What BizScore is

BizScore is an information service that analyzes financial documents from a business you're thinking about buying and produces a written report — a score, red flags, valuation range, and a due-diligence checklist. You pay once per report. There is no subscription.

What BizScore is not

BizScore is not a broker, lender, financial advisor, accountant, or law firm. We do not list businesses for sale, connect buyers with sellers, negotiate on your behalf, or take a fee tied to the transaction. Our reports are starting-point research — every report ends with a “Limits-of-Analysis” section describing what we could not assess.

Use the report with a professional

Before you sign a Letter of Intent or close on a business, work with a licensed attorney and a CPA in your state. BizScore gives you the analysis to bring to those conversations; it does not replace them.

Pricing and refunds

Quick Scan reports are $49. Full Reports are $199. Both are one-time payments processed through a PCI-compliant payment provider — BizScore never stores your card details. If we cannot complete the analysis on documents you provide, your refund is initiated automatically within 24 hours; depending on your bank, it typically posts to your statement within 5–10 business days. Reports we complete successfully are not refundable — the work has been done.

What you provide and what you keep

You retain all rights to documents you upload. By using BizScore you grant us a limited right to read those documents solely to produce your report. We never sell, license, or share your documents with anyone outside the named sub-processors listed in our Privacy Policy.

Limits of liability

BizScore reports are research, not advice. We make every reasonable effort to produce accurate analysis, but we cannot guarantee that every finding is correct or complete — see the Limits-of-Analysis section of every report for the specific gaps. You agree that the decisions you make based on a BizScore report are your own, and that our maximum liability for any claim related to a single report is limited to the amount you paid for that report.
